Walter served in the Air force. He was employed in the valet and culinary department at Bally’s Casino, also Atlantic City Board Of Education and the Woodbine Developmental Center. He was a member of the Home Boys Club and a Mason. He is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Annie Locklair of Woodbine, New Jersey. He leaves to mourn his loss fiance’ Marie Moore, his daughter Angela Bostic, 2 grandchildren, his sister Doris Beresford, 4 cousins, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. He was born April 14, 1922 at Pullman, WV, the son of the late Walter Alvin and Ethel Clayton Crane.Clyde was a U.S. Navy Veteran Seabee serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He worked as an oil and gas producer with CHC Drilling, North Hills Investment Co. and Vesta Fuel Co. He enjoyed farming, Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball, Pittsburgh Steelers Football, hunting and bird watching. He was a Methodist by faith and affiliated with Mt. Zion ChurchHe is survived by one daughter, Alison Ann Crane of Harrisville; several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and great-great-great nieces and nephews; special niece and nephew, Randa and Alton Watson of Harrisville; and special friends, Rodney and Debbie Windom.He was preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Christine Wilson Crane; brothers, Dwight Crane, Cecil Crane; sister, Martha Hamilton; and infant twin brothers, Blake and Bland.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery.
